Team Lead, Personal Insurance - CCV Insurance

Team Lead, Personal Lines


The Team Lead, Personal Lines is responsible for coordinating and guiding a team of personal insurance brokers, processing team members, and administrative team members. You are dedicated to ensuring your team meets and exceeds goals and targets by acting as a motivator, supervisor, and mentor on a daily basis. This role is a hands-on position to proactively ensure smooth team operations, engagement and effective collaboration.

Job Duties include but not limited to:

  • Provides guidance and feedback regarding performance as well as facilitating continuous learning and development of the Personal Lines team
  • Monitor team performance
  • Facilitate staff conflicts
  • Lead monthly team meetings
  • Participate in the recruiting and hiring of new employees
  • Oversee training program and onboarding of new employees
  • Proactively develop solutions to meet client demands
  • Communicate corporate goals and sales targets
  • Promote an inspiring team environment with an open communications culture
  • Communicate with company representatives on new products, training, sales targets and service standards
  • Evaluate and improve internal service workflows
  • Develop internal procedures to meet client care requirements
  • Support and assist in the company marketing and sales strategies
  • Prepare regular reports for senior executive – new sales, retention, production etc.
  • Provide assistance with various on-going and ad-hoc business projects




  • Post-secondary education
  • 5-7 years of related experience in insurance industry with extensive Personal Lines experience
  • Experience managing a team and demonstrated effective handling of employee issues and performance is considered an asset
  • RIBO Insurance License
  • CAIB or CIP designation, or working towards is considered an asset




  • Ability to make quick confident decisions

  • Superior communication skills
  • Committed to excellence in customer service and builds strong relationships at all levels
  • Skilled user of the Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Familiar with insurance customer relationship software
  • Demonstrated accountability and reliability in the quality and timeliness of work
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Flexible and adaptable with proven problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work within a team environment
  • Critical thinker with attention to detail
